ABOUT RIMGA

Rimga Viskanta has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in public sector accounting and financial management. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia.

Rimga was elected to the Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) Board in 2016 and served until 2020.  In her last year on the Board, she served as Board President in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to her election to the EUSD Board, Rimga served as PTA President at Ocean Knoll Elementary, where her youngest son just completed his 6th grade year. Her older two children attended Ocean Knoll as well, then Oak Crest Middle School and graduated from San Dieguito Academy in 2021 and 2022.  She also served on the EUSD District Prop P Oversight Committee and on the EUSD Health and Wellness committee.  She also served on the SDUHSD Prop AA Oversight Committee.

She currently works as a Senior Management Analyst for the City of Solana Beach where she focuses on a wide range of issues including environmental sustainability, special projects, and she provides support to the Finance Department.  Previous work experience includes positions as a management consultant for KPMG Consulting helping government clients perform functions more efficiently, and as an accounting manager for a real estate investment and management business.
